The room at Astera Resort is aesthetically pleasing and it was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The private pool was lovely. The pools on this side of the hotel are in the shade all day, so the water was quite cool being winter. In summer this will be nice and refreshing.
But if you want another option, the infinity pool at the back of the reception building was in the sun all day, and the pool had steps, so if you preferred to use this one, it’s okay as the water was warm, and you had it to yourself every time.

More into the detail of this resort, there is a spacious kitchen space to cook or heat your food. Other than that, it has a large closet for your clothes and suitcases, a small fridge, a large sink, and a small microwave. There is a large kettle and some small teacups.
The location of the hotel is quite strategic. There is Svaha Spa Padang Linjong, Thai and Italian restaurant within the hotel, a seafood restaurant, and a cafe in the adjacent building. A short five-minute walk in either direction will bring you to many other local restaurants, day spas, and mini-marts. The traffic in this area is notoriously bad all day long so allow yourself plenty of time to go anywhere.
